Place this horse inside your stables.

Now add the rare horse or horses you want to breed. Multiple horses do not increase the odds of getting a foal.

If you have a white stallion, make sure you put it inside as well.

Kick out the earlier regular horse you placed inside.

Now harvest the stables.

If you are lucky, you will end up with a rare foal.

Rinse and repeat.

Using the above method you can try as many times as the number of ready horses you have.

Good Luck!

So many people give out rare foals and calves to their neighbours day in and day out. They do not get any in return as none of their neighbours are in possession of a rare horse or a cow.

The next best option is to add people with whom to exchange the rare breeds with. However, most of the times these turn out to be be one on one exchanges. These either do not work out or you just get one or two foals/calves at the most.

What is the trick then? We borrowed it from Farmville’s idea of a Co-op. Why not have a Rare Foals/Calves Co-op?

So I posted in a few places that I was looking for people to exchange with. Of course there are a few pre-requirements and guidelines to follow.

Each person joining the co-op must have at least one rare horse or cow.

Keep the co-op small. We stuck to 16 people. This way you have enough people posting foals/calves and yet not so many that you never get one.

Make sure to add at least 3 to 4 people who have white stallions. Wandering ones can be hard to find at times.

Someone has to arrange the whole thing and make sure all members add each other. For this you have to first make a list via Edit Friends of all members in the co-op. Next post a message to the entire group asking them to add each other as friends so they can accept foals/calves from each other.

A really good idea is to organize everything. We made five different discussions: Foals, Calves, Wandering Stallions, Misc and Talk.

I managed to get a really great group of people together with foals being posted daily. We all have plenty of Pintos, Clydesdales, White foals, Percherons, brown, purple and pink ponies now.

So stop thinking in terms of a one-on-one exchange and start thinking big.

I normally avoid going to dars (religious lectures) as most times they just have the opposite effect on me. I get put off by the extreme thinking or the contradictions.

May be I just expect too much. But then I think that anyone who thinks they can teach Islam to another, needs to be at a certain level themselves and make logical sense. Which sadly a lot of the women teaching Islam in my country are not especially ever since we have started churning out alemas (experts) with just a year of Islamic study.

I do not know a single subject which can be mastered in a year. And Islam is not just one subject, it is a way of living. So what we get in the end are self proclaimed experts who think they know everything and look down on the rest of us mere mortals for not being as holy as them. And with that religious arrogance goes the very basic concept of Islam down the drain.

Let me give you an example. I managed to get dragged to one of these lectures recently. Since the lecture was in celebration of a wedding function yet to come, it had to have the usual do not waste money on showing off and do not have mehndi celebration and so on and so forth.

The lady then went on to tell us about her own son’s mehndi. She did not want to have the function but her son was adamant and her husband finally got her to agree on the basis that she herself fully embraced Islam at the age of 40. Then how can she expect her son to do the same at 20. Now the part that got to me was the fact that she just attended the mehndi for a very short while and then went inside the house as this according to her was an unislamic function.

Did she not for an instant think that Islam also teaches you to treat your guests with respect and entertain them? She may or may not agree with the function but she had called these people to her house. Were they just idiots who had bothered to come and spend all this time at her place while she avoided them by sitting in the house?

So what if there were dances and singing and a mixed gathering going on around you. You avoid doing that yourself and you go mix with your guests. There are 80% women in the market who do not cover themselves up. You do not stop going to the market, do you? There are people dating in restaurants You do not start avoiding those either, do you?

Later after the wedding her son fell very, very ill. And she said no one thought of it but I knew it was because he had not listened and gone ahead with the mehdni function. Makes me wonder if the whole thing was about Allah or about a mother’s ego. She seems to have condemned her son in her mind already… whether Allah did or not.

Now let me come to the contradictory part, she talked about some musical evening her husband dragged her to. Apparently she did not put her foot down on this one. Nor did she when taking her daughter to a male dentist. I wouldn’t even think twice about these things being out of the ordinary but for someone who would not sit with their guests at a function in their place better not be doing the above either.

I guess good manners are just dead and apparently no one remembers those when talking of Islam.

Since I have already written about the Sci Fi version of Alice, it is only fair to add Tin Man. Totally loved this miniseries. It is an updated and albeit a fresher take of the very old Wizard of Oz story. I have always loved this story and found this new version just as enticing with a lot of new twists and turns. And I mean a lot!!

Finally saw it ~ It was neither bad nor was it fabulous. It was just Alice. Perhaps a bigger screen would have helped. I would still recommend watching it, though

Although by the end of it I disliked the white queen as much as the red queen. The typical goody two shoes, I am so sweet, cannot hurt a fly, dumb blonde act … Ugh!!!!!

Best line in the movie was ~ This is Underland. Last time you got it wrong. You thought it was Wonderland.

However, I personally preferred the Sci Fi miniseries staring Matt Frewer and Harry Dean Stanton.

True, this was a very different take on Alice but that is what made it more fun to watch. You did not know what to expect.
