Just had red beans with tomato sauce and a nice cup of cofee, sweet and aromatic….just the way i like it….ummmmmm heaven.
Sometimes, in the good times of our lives, we can create a little heaven on earth for ourselves by doing the simplest things….
buying those shoes you have been thinking about for the last 2 months, better still buying them on 50% discount!!
reading an amazing book and losing yourself in the magical world the author has created, feeling all the emotions that the chracters feel, but in an unreal, ethereal way;
sleeping like a baby after a long tiring day that started 15 hours ago;
living life and appreciating and enjoying every moment the way it deserves to be appreciated; going on a shopping spree and buying everything you even remotely like without bothering about how much cash you have;
kissing the baby you love or better still getting kisses from the baby you love;
being alone and loving it, never feeling lonely;
being broke and loving it, never feeling poor;
being silly and loving it, never feeling idiotic;
being under dressed and loving it, never feeling self conscious;
being over dressed and loving it, never feeling ostentatious;
being wild and loving it, never worrying about disapprovals;
being exhausted and loving it, never feeling over worked;
watching other people being praised and loving it, never feeling envious;
and ofcourse I shouldn’t forget the nice cup of coffee that started it all!
As soon as we learn to find the heaven within ourselves, we can find it in a lot of places around us.
Sephora brushes are of good quality and give great results. Two of the ones that I have used and really like are:

Sephora Professional Natural Smudge Brush
Product Description
Made of 100 percent natural pony hair, this flat, short-haired brush is a must-have for blending, contouring, and creating a professional smoky eye effect. It can also be used to softly line and contour the eye. A Sephora favorite.
If you are looking for a smudge brush, look no further. This is a great alternative to all those pricey brushes.

Sephora Large Eye Shadow Brush
Product Description
Perfect for blending or applying a neutral shade to the entire lid, our Large Eyeshadow Brush is an indispensable tool for a professional look. 100% Pony Hair.
Also known as the All over brush, this one’s great for putting eye shadow on your eyes. It picks up a good amount of eye shadow … what a change from the last brush I was using. Personally I have a separarte blending brush but my sister uses this for blending as well and it works fabulously.

Body Shop also has some really nice brushes:
The Body Shop Slanted Brush
Product Description
An elegant, high-quality make-up brush that provides even application
This is one of my most favourite brushes. Its a great tool for putting eye liner. I have a set of Lorac’s Eye Candy Eye Shadow Palette…all dark colors great for that smoky eye look. This brush is the perfect application tool and lets me put the liner in one long sweep. With just a bit of tweaking I’m set to go.

Product Description:
Packaged in a precious, genie-like bottle, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. It’s the ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. To use: Apply and let dry before putting on your favorite eyeshadow shades, for dazzling eye looks that stay put.
I absolutely love the Urban Decay Eye Primer. It gives my eye shadow a smooth finish; there are no wrinkles; the color comes out much nicer and the best thing is your eye shadow stays for a much, much longer time.
The packaging is really cute, too. The trick is to dab a bit of it on your eyes with the wand and then use your fingers to spread it over your eye lid. Believe me when I say I wasted a lot of it inititally by using the wand to apply all over the eye.
It is a bit pricey for $14 but well worth it. I’m on my 3rd bottle and plan on using this stuff for a long time.

Dear Diary,
Just the other day I was thinking, the world is so much smaller now. There are no more new worlds to discover, no more new inventions that can awe us and make us think that this must be magic. We have imagined everything there is to imagine and nothing can shock us anymore.
That makes it a sad world … no more great discoveries to be made … at least not of the magnitude that was possible before. We had the whole world to discover. Now we know what the whole world is like.
But what if we haven’t discovered the whole world … what if there are still places to discover? But just not in the physical world that we see. A world beyond a world … a layer beneath a layer. Like the seven heavens layered on top of each other, the seven earths layered on top of each other … perhaps occupying the same space. But what of the laws of physics? May be we just don’t know them all. May be there is still so much more to discover and amaze us.
And may be just may be I’ve watched too much science fiction
But I know one thing … anything is possible!
Ugggh….
My eyes hurt and get watery every time I look at the computer screen. I guess that’s their way of protesting against the abuse I subject them to, ie no rest and constant use. The terrible heat and humidity, that september has decided to bless us with, just aggravates the situation.
However, this sucks considering I’m supposed to look at the computer screen the whole time at work. So when I force myself to do that, I get a headache. Hence it is red, watery hurting eyes with a headache. This is how I am at the work place right now.
The fact that my work has started boring me doesn’t help, ofcourse. And that is a whole different story. But typing for too long is hazardous to my eyes, so I will leave this for another time.
