Caprica – Can’t decide if I like the TV show or not. I already know it is headed for doom and no matter where the story goes, it is eventually going to lead to the destruction of everything. So that takes care of the ending to start with.
Other than that there are a few irritating things that just make no sense (what I am talking about will only make sense to you if you are watching the show).

I haven’t exactly read up on this but I’ve had at least 10 people tell me how one’s whole life is based on the laws of attraction.
So from what I know the law of attraction basically states that if you believe something will happen, then you end up attracting it towards yourself. If you believe you will make a million dollars, the universe will conspire and you will attract a million dollars.
I guess this is what was once called a self fulfilling prophecy. But the premise was of course much more realistic. And that is if you believe something bad enough, you consciously and sub consciously start working towards that goal. So much so that it actually happens. It is the power of the right or wrong attitude. It’s like if you believe hard enough that you will fail, how can you ever succeed with that attitude? Obviously you are gonna fail. If you are darn sure you will win, you will! Because then all your actions are directed towards that goal.

Whether we like it or not, we face an endless series of battles day after day. Some of the toughest battles are the ones we fight with ourselves. But once we are done with those, somehow the rest seems comparatively easier.
It’s amazing that some people can actually derive pleasure from the misery of others. Sadly, such people can’t be just wished away, they need to be seriously contended with at times. Even if you are the sort who hates fights and confrontations, you’ll soon come to realize that we don’t always get to choose whether to fight or not, let alone who and what to fight.

I have seen three of the most beautiful sites in the world and nothing will ever compare.
Going in the sequence that I saw them:
1. Masjid-e-Nabwi (Mosque of the Prophet Mohammad -sm-):
The first time I saw this mosque was from a bus window from far off. My first view was that of a huge, huge mosque lighted up like I have never seen a building light up. I just looked and I looked for I was seeing the most beautiful site I had ever set my eyes on in my entire life. I have been around the world, yet I had never seen a place as beautiful as this mosque. For it was not lights … it was noor that was emanating from that mosque.
I was stunned … a thought crossed my mind … should pray for something. What could I pray for? I was so stunned that my mind was blank. How could I think of anything to pray when I was faced with the most beautiful, the most stunning site, I had ever seen?

Just had red beans with tomato sauce and a nice cup of cofee, sweet and aromatic….just the way i like it….ummmmmm heaven.
Sometimes, in the good times of our lives, we can create a little heaven on earth for ourselves by doing the simplest things….
buying those shoes you have been thinking about for the last 2 months, better still buying them on 50% discount!!
reading an amazing book and losing yourself in the magical world the author has created, feeling all the emotions that the chracters feel, but in an unreal, ethereal way;
sleeping like a baby after a long tiring day that started 15 hours ago;
living life and appreciating and enjoying every moment the way it deserves to be appreciated; going on a shopping spree and buying everything you even remotely like without bothering about how much cash you have;
kissing the baby you love or better still getting kisses from the baby you love;
being alone and loving it, never feeling lonely;
being broke and loving it, never feeling poor;
being silly and loving it, never feeling idiotic;
being under dressed and loving it, never feeling self conscious;
being over dressed and loving it, never feeling ostentatious;
being wild and loving it, never worrying about disapprovals;
being exhausted and loving it, never feeling over worked;
watching other people being praised and loving it, never feeling envious;
and ofcourse I shouldn’t forget the nice cup of coffee that started it all!
As soon as we learn to find the heaven within ourselves, we can find it in a lot of places around us.
